ISLAND of HISPANOLA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC and HAITI. From New York it is only a 3 hour flight to Puerto Plata International Airport
and a 20 minute drive to Puerto Plata. The Dominican Republic in the heart of the Caribbean, occupying two thirds of the island
of Hispaniola, the other third is Haiti. Discovered by Columbus in 1942, it has become the largest tourist destination
in the Caribbean for North Americans and Europeans. A combination of enchanting history, breathtaking mountains, spectacular
beaches and azure waters, and the seductive beat of the Merengue makes this island and it's friendly population a singles
vacation paradise.
